Day-zero checklist
Day-zero checklist
Section titled “Day-zero checklist”Use this page as the short path through a brand new Lytebase install.
1. Create a project repo
Section titled “1. Create a project repo”Start with the project repo workflow. Lytebase deploys from a project repo, not from lytebase-infra directly.
2. Fill environment values and encrypted secrets
Section titled “2. Fill environment values and encrypted secrets”Review the setup artifacts layout and make sure the project repo owns:
project.yaml- environment overlays under
setup/environments/ - encrypted secret material
- pinned bundle metadata in
lytebase.lock
3. Review runtime boundaries
Section titled “3. Review runtime boundaries”Read the setup operating model before making manual changes. Runtime keys, generated state, and automation ownership should stay consistent across environments.
4. Validate before mutating the cluster
Section titled “4. Validate before mutating the cluster”Treat validation as a gate, not a cleanup step. Validate the project repo contract, environment overlays, and the active runtime config before submitting plans or deployment operations.
5. Hand off to the real app
Section titled “5. Hand off to the real app”Once the cluster and pipeline are ready, follow Replace the hello app and move the default surface to your application repo and image.
